Local Information and Links
It is difficult to image Callanish as a world-famous destination. Locals still favour Gaelic as the main language and crofting is still a traditional way of life. However, this is home to the famous Neolithic stone circles, magnificent in their mystery and set amongst spectacular scenery overlooking sea lochs, moorland, and the distant mountains. What a place to go glamping!
For such a quiet peaceful setting there are plenty of activities for visitors staying at the Pods. No car, no problem. There are regular buses to Stornoway and a tour service bus a few minutes walk from the Pods.
